The roller crusher is designed for crushing brittle bulk materials of various strengths and hardnesses. The use of this crusher is contraindicated for crushing hard-to-crush, radioactive and explosive materials. The crusher can be used as a stand-alone machine or as part of a plant or production line.
The main working body of a roll crusher is a cylindrical roll rotating on a horizontal axis. The material to be crushed is fed from the top, pulled between the rolls and crushed as a result.
Roller crushers are available in single-, double-, and four-roll designs. In the latter case, one pair of rolls is located above the other, i.e. a four-roll crusher can be considered as two two-roll crushers mounted in one housing. Roll surfaces can be smooth, grooved, ribbed, and toothed
