A screw conveyor or auger conveyor is a mechanism that uses a rotating spiral helical blade called a "scraper", usually inside a pipe, to move bulk or granular materials.

A screw conveyor is a universal conveying device that operates continuously and provides movement of various loose, powdery, fine-fraction and dusty materials. The screw conveyor is mainly used in:

food and agricultural industry (transportation of grain, flour, starch, food mixtures, compound feed and others);
glass industry;
chemical industry (where it is necessary to transport aggressive substances, since there is a possibility of complete sealing of the chute);
