A solid fuel boiler is a heating device made of steel or cast iron that releases thermal energy during the combustion of solid fuels. In domestic models, fuel is supplied manually, while in industrial versions, fuel is supplied automatically and ash is removed.
Solid fuel boilers use peat, wood, coal, coke or fuel pellets as an inexpensive alternative to gas and oil. The combustion of woodworking and agricultural waste (sawdust, wood chips, sunflower husks) helps to solve the problem of its disposal.
