Roll crusher is designed to crush rocks by drawing the material by friction and crushing it between two parallel cylindrical rolls rotating at the same speed towards each other and screening out oversized pieces.
Double roll crushers are the most common in the construction materials industry. These crushers are particularly suitable for crushing wet and viscous materials (e.g. clays), as other crushing machines get clogged with such materials, and roll crushers can be fitted with special scrapers to remove adhering material from the roll surface.
The shaft bearings of one of the rolls are supported by springs and can move. As a result, in the event of a non-crushable object, one roll can move away from the other and let the non-crushable object pass, after which it will return to its original position under the action of the springs.

Additionally, the crusher can be equipped with a hopper and a support frame.
